Well, the 2010 MLB season is off and running. It’s been a very entertaining start so far. Jason Heyward certainly turned some heads with his performance on Monday. His cards have gone nuts on eBay. I only wish I had some 07 Bowman Draft or 08 Bowman. I do have some 2007 Tristar Prospects Plus with his Autographs in it. It’s actually on sale through the end of this week too. Tim Lincecum had another great start also. He struggled a little in spring, but appears to be right on track. Check out 2007 Upper Deck Exquisite Rookies with autograph jerseys and patches from Lincecum.
The NCAA Championship Game was a pretty exciting game as well. I was really hoping Butler would pull it out. That shot was so close to going in at the end. I’d love to see all the Butler kids come back to school and the coach to stay. However, I’m guessing that won’t happen with the run they made. The NBA Draft looks fairly promising this year. John Wall and Evan Turner both appear to be legit NBA players. There are also a few big men like DeMarcus Cousins and Derrick Favors who I think could help a team right now. Hopefully Panini will be able to sign them all.
How about the McNabb trade? That sure shakes up the NFC East along with the Draft. I’m starting to get excited about football already and we still have several months until it all starts. All the free agents/trades and the draft always get me excited. Plus the 2010 Press Pass singles are selling really well. I can’t wait until we have some NFL stuff out there of the top rookies. It’s nice this year because all the big QB prospects (Bradford, Clausen, McCoy and Tebow) are from huge schools where everyone knows them. Not to take anything away from guys like Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco, but it helps to have guys from huge schools. We should start seeing info on the 2010 stuff from Upper Deck and Panini very soon.
2009-10 Upper Deck SP Game Used HK and 2009-10 Upper Deck Greats of the Game BK are both in stock and ready to ship. The Game Used looks pretty nice so far. The boxes I’ve seen seem to have better content than some of the past years. I haven’t seen much of the Greats of the Game yet. I am a little saddened that the Autographs are not on card. However, I think the stuff has some potential with all the collegiate stuff from guys who have never really had those type of cards. And, obviously, having Jordan and LeBron in there doesn’t hurt.
Well, I hope everyone is having a great week. Enjoy the baseball games!
Thanks,
Josh
