Manny Machado, Lo-A Orioles

Its been announced by the Baltimore Sun Times that Machado will be promoted right after the Sally Lge All-Star Game

 

Sammy Solis, Lo-A Nationals

7 IP, 5H, 2ER, 2 BB, 6K, ERA: 3.47

Bryce Harper’s teammate, a 2011 Bowman Autograph subject, continues to improve.

 

HOTTEST PITCHER IN THE MINORS

Tyler Thornburg, Lo-A Brewers

7 IP, 2H, ER, 4 BB, 9K, W (7-0), ERA- 1.57

Mr. Thornburg, like Taijuan Walker, doesn’t get his due pitching in the Midwest League, but buzz has already started on his cards, notably 2010 EEE, and high-end refractors of 2010 Bowman Draft.  After a night like this (and many others as he hasn’t lost), and a BAA of just .203, Thornburg is poised to gain hobby acclaim sooner than later.  He’s a lock for Fridays Baseball America Hot Sheet, and our weekend Hot Sheet.

Also could be lock for BA.com’s #1 on HS Friday.  His cards are getting expensive….

Robbie Erlin, AA Rangers

5IP, 10H, 6ER, 2BB, 5K, W (6-0)

After being promoted after a crazy stint at Hi-A, Erlin has pitched well, sans this outing where he got rocked, but still earned a win.  On the year, his BB/K ratio is an amazing 9/83

 

HOTTEST HITTER IN THE MINORS

Tommy Mendonca, AA-Rangers

3-4, 2R, 3B, 3 RBI (51), batting .477 in his last 10.

No-Brainer for the weekend hot lists…

 

Casey Kelly, AA-Padres

Kelly starting to heat up concurrently with the rise of 2008 Razor

James Darnell, AA-Padres

2-4, R, 2b (24), continues hot streak.

Dellin Betances, AA-Yankees
