So, the 2009 Topps Unique came out this week.  It’s looked okay so far.  The case hits are very nice, but the average boxes don’t look spectacular.  I really like the idea of this product.  However, I would love to see this product release as a tin or one pack box.  And every box/tin has a Jumbo Patch Auto, Unique Hit or a nice RC Auto.  I think this could work at around $150 SRP.  A lot of the Unique hits aren’t costly for Topps because they are just jersey pieces.  That way, it would bring down their average cost per box.  The problem with this product is that it’s a 10-box case and the boxes have 24 packs in them.  So, the product breakdown comes across as a cheaper/set building type of product.  And that’s not exactly the kind of product you want to put high end chase in like these “unique” cards.  I could see these cards as a great case hit in a product like SP Authentic or Triple Threads.  The entire product is built (and named) after these cards and then you only get 1 in 240 packs.  Something is not right about that.  Either way, the product has moved fairly well.  Most people seem to be very pleased or very disappointed.

It looks like 2010 Topps Heritage BB will be in next week.  I know many of you are anticipating this one, as am I.  It should be a solid product once again.  Also, I should be putting the 2010 Topps Allen & Ginter up for pre-sell soon, so look out for that.

SP Authentic FB & Ultimate BB continue to sell.  I’m seeing some really nice stuff out of both of these.  I really like the Jumbo Signature Patches in SP Authentic instead of the Leatherhead inserts from last year.  Even though some of the autographs don’t look great on the patches, they are still pretty cool.  The only bummer at all is redemption cards.

Any of you who had the 2010 Topps Jumbos on pre-order, we will be shipping it out for you today. We may have a few cases left to sell for those of you who didn’t pre-order. Hopefully these will be worth the wait.

The Ultimate BB continues to sell. Check out the Forums under the Baseball Box Breaks to see a ridiculous Cal Ripken Patch pulled from a case. We still have a few cases remaining, so don’t miss out on this one.

No other products expected in this week. SPA Football should be in next week after a long delay. Let’s hope it doesn’t have collation issues like last year. There are supposed to be 11 RC Auto Patches per case, so I’m really looking forward to it.

Welcome to the Atlanta Sports Cards’ Blog.  This portion of the site was created to share information with all of our customers.  We will be posting daily information and news on here.  This is a great place for collectors to come and get information that is unbiased and not skewed towards products we have in stock.

This has been a crazy week for sure.  There have been several new products coming in.  All of the following arrived for shipment this week: 2009 Topps Sterling BB, 2009 Upper Deck Signature Stars BB, 2009 Upper Deck Ultimate Collection BB, 2010 Topps Series 1 BB, 2010 Upper Deck Series 1 BB, 2009 National Treasures FB, 2009 Topps National Chicle FB, 2009-10 Upper Deck Trilogy HK and we just received 2009 Topps Platinum FB for next week.

So far, Ultimate BB looks like the big winner of the group.  It is absolutely loaded with on-card autographs and amazing patches.  The Sterling has looked solid, but not spectacular.  It has some really nice stuff in there, but there have been some complaints about too many current players.  2010 Topps is its usual self.  Nothing spectacular, but a good, lower-end type of product.  The new brand Signature Stars from Upper Deck appears to be a bit of a mystery so far.  The SP Authentic Letter Autographs and UD Black hits are pretty cool.  However, the box breaks have not been spectacular so far.  It’s still too early to make a judgement on the UD 1 BB.

The National Treasures has some awesome hits in it as usual.  The RC Auto Patches are very nice this year and have some crazy patches on them.  There is also a great mixture of retired content as usual.  Honestly, I haven’t really seen or heard much about the National Chicle.  I think it’s getting a little lost in the shuffle.

There are a ton of exciting products coming in the next few weeks.  We will try to post mini reviews about every product that comes in.  Eventually, we’d love to break a box of every product and show it off to our customers.

This blog is something that should end up being a lot of fun for everyone.  It will be a great place to get information.  Anytime there is breaking news in the industry, we will try to be the first to report it here on our blog.
